Clarinet and piano lessons

Why online?

Online music lessons work. Our students successfully land first chair in their school bands, score spots in honor ensembles, and even go on to pursue music after graduating high school. No matter our students’ goals, we make sure to tailor our lessons to them.

In addition to being effective, online lessons are convenient. We know parents often spend hours and hours driving their kids to different activities. We want to give your children quality music education — while giving you a break.

Studio INCLUSIONS

In addition to 48 1:1 lessons per year, all students have access to weekly studio classes, monthly newsletters, and 2 recitals per year. All students receive detailed practice logs to keep them on track, one week at a time.

student and family testimonials

“I have two daughters taking lessons from Adella and she is great. She is patient, she makes sure they learn what they are doing before moving on and my daughters have been learning piano from level 0 with her, and they love it! I would highly recommend Adella. We are very happy with her services.”

“Adella has been the most amazing teacher. Ever since I was a little kid I wanted to play the piano for our holiday singing together, and with Adella’s help, I was able to start with nothing and learn to play the entire song book in only a few months. I would highly recommend her to anyone learning or re-learning piano!”

— Former Student

“My daughter has been taking clarinet lessons with Adella for almost a year now. She has seen significant growth in her playing ability in that amount of time! With Adella's guidance, she earned a first chair spot at her last audition. Most importantly, she enjoys the lessons and is excited for the extra things she learns outside of her school band class. Highly recommend!”

With her help, Adella has enabled me to qualify and play in my all-state concert band as well as have fun in the process. I recommend Adella for those seeking to reach the next level or just wanting to pick up a new hobby!”

“Before I started taking lessons with Taylor in the summer of 2023, I had already studied piano as an adult, learning how to play the instrument for the first time for a few years. While I learned some solid fundamentals, I eventually felt like my progress had stalled. I became frustrated, lost the joy of playing, and took a year away from the piano. When I decided to return, I was looking for a teacher who understood the challenges of being an adult student balancing work, family, and learning music as a creative outlet.

Taylor has been exactly the teacher I was looking for. She is patient, encouraging, and incredibly knowledgeable, but she's also appropriately challenging. She doesn't just tell you what to play, she makes sure you understand the musical theory behind it, helps you develop proper technique, and explains why corrections matter. She knows when to push you to improve and when to encourage you through a difficult piece, always offering practical advice, and has helped me play with confidence.  For example, in one class, I was having a really hard time with a piece and was getting the proverbial yips during a straightforward pattern. She pointed to a picture of a gymnast, Chellsie Memmel, over her piano and shared with me her story of getting through mental blocks. I really appreciated that and think of it when I'm practicing or performing.

The difference in my progress has been remarkable. Pieces that once would have taken me months to struggle through now come together in just a few lessons, allowing us to spend our time refining musicality instead of simply getting through the notes. Over the past three years, I've become a much stronger and more confident musician. In fact, the foundation Taylor has helped me build has made learning guitar a new instrument that I have taken up come much more easily because the musical concepts and discipline transfer so well.

When Taylor moved to Adella's studio, I didn't hesitate to follow her because I truly enjoy learning from her. I've also been very impressed with Adella's studio. The online platform makes scheduling, payments, remote lessons, and sharing practice videos for feedback between lessons incredibly simple and convenient.

If you're considering piano lessons or returning after time away, I can't recommend Taylor highly enough. She has helped me rediscover the joy of making music while providing me with the skills and confidence to continue growing as a musician.”
